Prebiotic fibers that produce short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) during fermentation by bifidobacteria and support the digestion process. Bifidobacteria, due to the inhibitory effect they exert against pathogenic intestinal bacteria, contribute to the fortification of the intestinal flora so that it can resist acute infections.
Actilight® is produced from sugar beets through a bio-synthesis process , providing consistent features and reliable functionality.
Actilight® contains the shortest chain FOS in nature. Compared to other commercially available preparations, the soluble fibers of Actilight® are absorbed in a small percentage in the small intestine, while up to 95% remains intact for the beneficial bacteria in the colon and thus favors their rapid growth.
The short-chain fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) are broken down by bifidobacteria and contribute to the process of digestion and the removal of faeces.
It is also suitable for people with diabetes since it does not increase the levels of glucose and insulin in the blood< /p>
Bifidobacteria and lactobacilli prefer short-chain fructooligosaccharides (scFOS) compared to other carbohydrate sources because they possess the enzyme SS-fructosidase, necessary for the hydrolysis of bonds.
Thus, their growth is increased, in a diet rich in scFOS, which results in an increase in the content of the intestine and the size of the feces.
From the fermentation of scFOS by Bifidobacteria and lactobacilli in the colon, they are produced short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) such as acetic, propionic and butyric acid.
•These metabolites have a positive effect on the balance of the intestinal flora, improving mucosal epithelial integrity, motility and transit gut.

• Fatty acids short chain specifically the increased production of lactic acid, lowers the pH in the large intestine and in this way increases the absorption of electrolytes and other minerals necessary for the body.
Bifidobacteria has been shown to help improve transit time, and, in combination with soluble fiber ScFOS selectively stimulate the production of butyric acid, which increases from an average of 10% (of total SCFA produced) up to 25%, after dietary intake of scFOS.
Butyric acid is generally recognized to be a critical substance for the intestinal mucosa, for its ability to produce mucus that acts as a protective barrier and lubricates the gut.

We cooperate with the courier companies ELTA courier, ACS Courier, and *SVUUM courier (deliveries ONLY within Athens with SVUUM courier) through which your products are sent, to the place of delivery you indicated in your order. Alternatively, it is possible to pick up your order at our physical store, at 185 Pelopida St. Peristeri Attica, P.O. 12137, always after notifying us (via email or phone) that your order is ready for collection by our Pharmacy.
Delivery time
The delivery time depends on the availability of the products you have chosen. Once you order, we process your order and inform you if there is any shortage of the product. In-stock products take 1-3 business days to be delivered. For products that are not immediately available when ordering, we will inform you of the delivery time. All orders are processed within 3-5 days.
Deliveries within Athens the next day by SVUUM courier
Deliveries of orders placed with SVUUM courier ONLY concern shipments within Athens* and are delivered the next business day for orders placed online until 2:00 p.m. of the previous business day, as long as the products of the order are available. for example:
- for an order placed electronically on WEDNESDAY JUNE 1 at 1:58 p.m. will be delivered on THURSDAY JUNE 2 (i.e. THE NEXT DAY)
-for an order placed electronically on WEDNESDAY JUNE 1st at 2:30 p.m. will be delivered on FRIDAY JUNE 3 (i.e. APPOINTED DAY) the delivery time cannot be determined exactly or a specific desired delivery interval can be requested from the recipient, but a message is received with the estimated delivery time from SVUUM COURIER which delivers the next day 10:00-22:00.

Shipping cost In all of Greece:
For purchases over €69 and up to 2kg, shipping costs are free*.
For orders: Within Athens: and up to 2kg the transport costs are set at 3.5€, and for each additional kilo 1.80€/kg.
Land Destinations: and up to 2kg the transport costs are set at 4.9€, and for each additional kilo 2€/kg.
Island Destinations: and up to 2kg the transport costs are set at 4.9€, and for each additional kilo 2.30€/kg.
Hard-to-reach areas: up to 2kg, the transport costs are set at €8.00, and for each additional kg €2.50/kg. Volumetric weight is calculated as HEIGHTxLENGTHxWIDTH DIVIDED BY 5000. (one unit of volumetric weight is equal to 1kg and extra kg is charged as defined (see above).
SHIPPING COST FOR CYPRUS:
Shipping costs for packages in Cyprus up to 2 kg are 10.20 euros -for more than 2 kg, a charge of 1.1 euro per additional kg applies. - the delivery time for Cyprus is 7-10 days.
Shipping method and international shipping charges
All shipments sent to countries outside of Greece have a delivery time from the date of shipment of 10 to 40 days depending on the destination. Our company is not responsible for charges that may arise at the customs office of the respective country, nor for delays that may occur during customs clearance in the destination country. All shipments are shipped as attachments and it is the buyer's responsibility to track the tracking number provided to them when the order is shipped and to pick up the package from their local partner post office.
Shipping is charged per kg Up to 2kg: 20 euros from 2 kg and above 5 euros per kg In orders where the package is refused or not searched by the buyer's local post office due to the buyer's fault, the customer is obliged to bear the entire transport costs of the package (for shipping and return to us costs), until the package is returned at the headquarters of our company.

Pickup from the store
Upon your order, you can pick up your products from our Pharmacy, at 185 Pelopida Street, Peristeri Attica, P.O. 12137 as long as you have placed your online order at www.pharmacy4cure.gr, and always after we have notified you (via email or phone) that your order is ready for collection by our Pharmacy. Collection from our Pharmacy can also be done the same day after your online order, as long as you have received a relevant notification for collection.
Caution!
Each order will be canceled after 2 days from the date of the order, in the event that the payment method "Collection and Payment in Store" has been selected, and while you have been notified that your order is ready for collection, you have not come to collect the order you within 2 days.
We have all possible payment methods. You can pay by card (in cooperation with the Piraeus bank), by cash on delivery in cooperation with couriers, by bank deposit and by payment at our Pharmacy by card or cash.
