L-Mesitran® HYDRO. Medical Grade Waterproof Absorbent Honey Healing Pad

The L-Mesitran® Hydro 10cm X 10cm pad is a lightly adhesive polymer pad with a waterproof outer surface and is an excellent choice for healing superficial ulcers with any degree of exudate or mild cell necrosis

COMPOSITION

  • Medical grade honey (30%): Low osmotic action.
  • Polyacrylic polymers: Absorb the exudate trapping it inside the patch, while maintaining a beneficial, moist healing environment.
  • Polyurethane film coating: Effective waterproofing and  ;ulcer protection.

INDICATIONS

  • Superficial decubitus ulcers up to 2nd degree with any degree of exudate or mild necrosis.< /li>
  • 1st and 2nd degree thermal, chemical, radiotherapy burns.
  • Diabetic, venous, arterial, varicose ulcers.
  • Post-operative wounds and areas of graft removal, with any degree exudate.
  • Suture protection.
  • The product does not regenerate, there must be a skin discontinuity and it is applied directly to the traumatic tissue of an open lesion (ulcer, wound, burn).

PRODUCT FEATURES< /p>

  • It has a high ability to absorb exudates - up to 7 times the weight of the product - trapping moisture and any necrotic, bacterial cells inside.
  • Contributes significantly to growth and maintenance moist healing environment due to the natural nature of medical grade honey and the polymer components of the product, developing a cool, luscious surface covering the ulcer.
  • Enhances the neutralization of ulcer inflammation by soothing swelling through its anti-inflammatory elements and the supply of rich oxygenation, vitamins, amino acids and nutrients to the ulcer.
  • Develops and maintains a natural, antiseptic environment in the ulcer, through an enzymatic reaction and subsequent production of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), while it does not act cytotoxic, as is the case with conventional antiseptic/antimicrobial substances (silver, oxygen, betadin, etc.), even if the prolonged use and presence of the product in the lesion is required. p>
    • It is recommended to clean the ulcer with normal saline before applying the patch.
    • The patch adapts to the relief of the ulcer, while ensuring painless changes as it easily peels off during removal without it injures the tissue.
    • The pad can be cut to be placed in more than one place or to adapt to the shape (e.g. oblong) of the ulcer. It is stabilized at the point with an elastic bandage or a waterproof adhesive film.
    • The indicated time of keeping the product in the ulcer is determined in 1-5 days depending on the amount of exudates. The noticeable swelling of the patch is an indication that its absorbent capacity is covered and a new one is needed.
    • The product has no effect on blood glucose levels and does not penetrate the wound. No side effects have been observed or reported to date, however it is recommended not to be used by people allergic to its ingredients.

Payment is made through Piraeus Bank, where the customer transfers to a secure location of the bank and carries out his transaction with security and the correct observance of his personal data.

Payment by cash on delivery has an extra fee (€2.50). The customer pays upon receipt of his products from the cooperating courier company.
