BioGaia Protectis Child 7 Sachets - Oral Probiotic Solution With Zinc

The world's first hydration solution with probiotic and zinc (2009).  ;Contains electrolytes, probiotic L. reuteri ProTectis® and zinc. With orange and aspartame flavor.

Suitable for infants, children and adults as a dietary treatment in the treatment of electrolyte disturbances and dehydration from mild and moderate diarrhea and/or vomiting, hydration from fever, or severe sports etc.

Available in a package of 7 sachets of 5.5 g. The content of each sachet is dissolved in 250 ml of cool water, kept for 3 hours outside the refrigerator or 6 hours in the refrigerator and provides:

According to in the most recent studies the new composition compared to the previously proposed one was observed to yield superior clinical benefits namely:

  • Reduces the number of bowel movements by 20%
  • Reduces episodes vomiting by 30%
  • Reduces the need for emergency intravenous treatment by 33% • Does not increase the likelihood of hyponatremia.

*BioGaia® ProTectis ORS contains L.reuteri Protectis®, the patented probiotic bacterium of BioGaia Sweden. It is one of the most studied probiotics worldwide, especially in infants and children.

Its safety and effectiveness have been proven in 108 clinical studies (last updated 12/2014). L.reuteri Protectis® fully meets the requirements of the P.O.Y. for probiotics. In an in vitro study comparing the viability of 35 different probiotic strains in a simulated human gastrointestinal tract over a period of five days, L. reuteri Protectis® was shown to be one of only three strains that survived. This fact was also confirmed in vivo, when its intake by healthy people led to significant colonization of the stomach, duodenum and ileum.It is still the only probiotic that produces the antimicrobial substance reuterin against pathogenic microorganisms , such as rotaviruses. Its action has been proven in large published clinical studies to provide:
