Italfarmaco Iofolen Lactancia 60 Capsules - Dietary Supplement With Omega-3 Fatty Acids, Vitamins & Minerals

Suitable for the mother during breastfeeding and covers the nutrients needed by the nursing mother and the infant in the appropriate amounts (according to the latest International Guidelines).

Iofolen Lactancia  is suitable for all breastfeeding women, either exclusively or in addition (in combination with cow's milk products and solid foods) and for as long as breastfeeding lasts.

Main ingredients:

  • O3 fatty acids (DHA) and iodine, to achieve ideal brain development and cognitive functions. O3 fatty acids (DHA & EPA) of Iofolen Lactancia reduce the risk of postpartum depression (DHA) and have a cardioprotective effect (EPA) in the mother.
  • Taurine, which is very important for the development of the nerve cells of infants and the later learning ability of children. Taurine together with Ω3 (DHA) also affects the retina, resulting in the improvement and protection of visual acuity of infants. In infants, the lack of taurine in the diet is associated with a reduction in the digestion and absorption of lipids.
  • Vitamin A, which has a beneficial effect on the immune system and the perception of light by the eyes. The reception of Iofolen Lactancia by the nursing woman will benefit the infant, providing him with a sufficient amount of vitamin A.
  • Vitamin E, which in combination with Vitamin C in nursing women has the effect of strengthening the maternal of milk in antioxidant substances.
  • Calcium, which ensures the maintenance of the health of the mother's bones, as during breastfeeding calcium moves from the mother's bones to the mother's milk to meet its needs newborn. 
  • Vitamin D, which contributes to the absorption of calcium from the bones and is produced naturally by the human body when sunlight comes into contact with the skin. However, infants and nursing mothers are little exposed to the sun, while breast milk is also relatively poor in vitamin D, as a result of which it is necessary to supplement the appropriate amounts of vitamin D in the mother's diet. Does not contain sugar or gluten. The product contains fish oil. Recommended dosage: 2 capsules of Iofolen Lactancia daily with a glass of water.
