FORTINN® (Fortigel™) represents the mixture of bioactive collagen peptides which are obtained from hydrolyzed collagen. Short-chain proteins (of strictly determined length) are obtained with the special enzymatic process of further hydrolysis.
The latest researches show that depending on the size of molecule and length of the chain, collagen peptides exhibit huge difference in action and efficiency to stimulation of cartilage cells and synthesis of new cartilage. Compared to all products which contain hydrolyzed collagen type II, FORTINN® represents unique, completely different mixture of fragments of specific collagen peptides and amino acids which are the only ones scientifically proven to stimulate new cartilage synthesis.

What is collagen and what it is used for in our body?
Collagen is a specific protein present to the fullest in the body and making 30-35% of total proteins. About 25 different types of collagen have been known so far, out of which four are the most important ones. Collagen type I is mostly present in the bones, collagen type II in the cartilage, type III mostly in hollow organs, while collagen type IV in basal membranes
Human body has the ability to synthesize collagen which is necessary for the growth and regeneration of tissue. However, over time the body gradually loses its capacity to renew it due to the aging process, permanent overload (professional sport, physical activity) or autoimmune diseases. In the young age, the loss of collagen is quickly made up for, but as people are getting older such a loss becomes ever more present, so it is counted that after the age of 25 the body loses on average 1.5% of collagen a year, while such a loss drastically increases after the age of 40.
Can the loss of collagen be made up for?
Life style, proper diet and continuous physical activity can to some extent mitigate and slow down the loss of collagen and its consequences. However, that is not sufficient anymore today and therefore we need dietary supplements containing collagen which slow down the natural loss of collagen.
Hydrolyzed collagen type II, which has improved absorption represents a unique molecule with a favorable impact on the maintenance of homeostasis of articular cartilage and connective tissue building. Collagen type II contains a high level of hydroxyproline and hydroxylysine, amino-acids which are crucial in building of articular cartilage connective tissue.
Collagen type II is the most common type of collagen in cartilage (85-90%) and therefore its regular oral administration is especially advisable in osteoarthritis. Oral administration of collagen (only of certain length and molecular weight) results in its absorption in small intestine and its integration into cartilage. The use of hydrolyzed collagen stimulates statistically significant increase of cartilaginous tissue synthesis.
FORTINN® significantly stimulates the articular cartilage regeneration. Apart surgical treatment, the therapy of osteoarthritis is very limited. The goal is mostly to achieve relief of systemic symptoms and inflammation. Certainly, it is equally important to treat the real cause of disease in order to prevent progressive degeneration of cartilage.
FORTINN® contains specific bioactive collagen peptides which are obtained by special enzymatic process from hydrolyzed collagen type II of the bovine origin and they are the only to improve the synthesis of new cartilage and it is scientifically proven. Bioactive collagen peptides, the only ones that can stimulate chondrocytes, are the ones that have strictly determined length and molecular weight of about 3,3 KDa which enables them to be absorbed in digestive tract and further distributed through the blood stream.
FORTINN® product is intended for regeneration of cartilage, has precisely determined and scientifically confirmed composition. Unlike the usual hydrolyzed collagen type II which only represents a building element, FORTINN® directly stimulates chondrocytes and results in cartilage regeneration.
FORTINN® is the first chondroprotector with the proven stimulative effect to chondrocytes.
Shipping methods
We cooperate with the courier companies ELTA courier, ACS Courier, and *SVUUM courier (deliveries ONLY within Athens with SVUUM courier) through which your products are sent, to the place of delivery you indicated in your order. Alternatively, it is possible to pick up your order at our physical store, at 185 Pelopida St. Peristeri Attica, P.O. 12137, always after notifying us (via email or phone) that your order is ready for collection by our Pharmacy.
Delivery time
The delivery time depends on the availability of the products you have chosen. Once you order, we process your order and inform you if there is any shortage of the product. In-stock products take 1-3 business days to be delivered. For products that are not immediately available when ordering, we will inform you of the delivery time. All orders are processed within 3-5 days.
Deliveries within Athens the next day by SVUUM courier
Deliveries of orders placed with SVUUM courier ONLY concern shipments within Athens* and are delivered the next business day for orders placed online until 2:00 p.m. of the previous business day, as long as the products of the order are available. for example:
- for an order placed electronically on WEDNESDAY JUNE 1 at 1:58 p.m. will be delivered on THURSDAY JUNE 2 (i.e. THE NEXT DAY)
-for an order placed electronically on WEDNESDAY JUNE 1st at 2:30 p.m. will be delivered on FRIDAY JUNE 3 (i.e. APPOINTED DAY) the delivery time cannot be determined exactly or a specific desired delivery interval can be requested from the recipient, but a message is received with the estimated delivery time from SVUUM COURIER which delivers the next day 10:00-22:00.
FOR ALL DELIVERIES, THE DELIVERY TIME DEPENDS ON THE AVAILABILITY OF THE PRODUCTS AND THIS REGARDS NEXT DAY DELIVERIES. The pharmacy makes every effort to keep the products up to date, but is not responsible for any wrong product availability that may indicate due to invalid inventory update due to technical problem etc. An exception to the timely delivery of orders may be extraordinary events, e.g. general strikes or extreme weather.Also any product shortages due to suppliers.
Shipping cost In all of Greece:
For purchases over €69 and up to 2kg, shipping costs are free*.
For orders: Within Athens: and up to 2kg the transport costs are set at 3.5€, and for each additional kilo 1.80€/kg.
Land Destinations: and up to 2kg the transport costs are set at 4.9€, and for each additional kilo 2€/kg.
Island Destinations: and up to 2kg the transport costs are set at 4.9€, and for each additional kilo 2.30€/kg.
Hard-to-reach areas: up to 2kg, the transport costs are set at €8.00, and for each additional kg €2.50/kg. Volumetric weight is calculated as HEIGHTxLENGTHxWIDTH DIVIDED BY 5000. (one unit of volumetric weight is equal to 1kg and extra kg is charged as defined (see above).
SHIPPING COST FOR CYPRUS:
Shipping costs for packages in Cyprus up to 2 kg are 10.20 euros -for more than 2 kg, a charge of 1.1 euro per additional kg applies. - the delivery time for Cyprus is 7-10 days.
Shipping method and international shipping charges
All shipments sent to countries outside of Greece have a delivery time from the date of shipment of 10 to 40 days depending on the destination. Our company is not responsible for charges that may arise at the customs office of the respective country, nor for delays that may occur during customs clearance in the destination country. All shipments are shipped as attachments and it is the buyer's responsibility to track the tracking number provided to them when the order is shipped and to pick up the package from their local partner post office.
Shipping is charged per kg Up to 2kg: 20 euros from 2 kg and above 5 euros per kg In orders where the package is refused or not searched by the buyer's local post office due to the buyer's fault, the customer is obliged to bear the entire transport costs of the package (for shipping and return to us costs), until the package is returned at the headquarters of our company.

Pickup from the store
Upon your order, you can pick up your products from our Pharmacy, at 185 Pelopida Street, Peristeri Attica, P.O. 12137 as long as you have placed your online order at www.pharmacy4cure.gr, and always after we have notified you (via email or phone) that your order is ready for collection by our Pharmacy. Collection from our Pharmacy can also be done the same day after your online order, as long as you have received a relevant notification for collection.
Caution!
Each order will be canceled after 2 days from the date of the order, in the event that the payment method "Collection and Payment in Store" has been selected, and while you have been notified that your order is ready for collection, you have not come to collect the order you within 2 days.
We have all possible payment methods. You can pay by card (in cooperation with the Piraeus bank), by cash on delivery in cooperation with couriers, by bank deposit and by payment at our Pharmacy by card or cash.

Payment is made through Piraeus Bank, where the customer transfers to a secure location of the bank and carries out his transaction with security and the correct observance of his personal data.
- Payment by Cash on Delivery
Payment by cash on delivery has an extra fee (€2.50). The customer pays upon receipt of his products from the cooperating courier company.
