Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-3 (oligopeptide ): belongs to the peptides that promote the production of the extracellular components of the fundamental substance (Extracellular Components Matrix-ECMs). The pentapeptide consisting of the amino acid sequence lysine-threonine-threonine-lysine-serine (KTTKS) is part of procollagen I and has been shown to stimulate collagen production in fibroblast culture.
