Gel for Face & Body Scars

Avene's Cicalfate+ Gel Cicatrice is particularly indicated for recent scars (after re-epidermalisation) in adults and suitable for any skin showing signs  related to superficial lesions of the skin or to superficial dermatological operations.

The composition of  Avene Cicalfate+ Gel Cicatrice is adapted in a moisturizing texture, ideal for massage, while its texture creates a protective film on the skin and helps to massage it.

Effectiveness of using Avene Cicalfate+ Gel Cicatrice (checked under dermatological and pediatric control on 50 people with recent scars/2 applications a day for 3 months)

    Directions for UseApply Avene Cicalfate+ Gel Cicatrice twice a day and gently massage the skin along the scar.

    Massage instructions

    • To determine the maturity of a scar we need to evaluate the skin re-pigmentation time by pressing on the scar: press on the scar and time the time is needed to recolor the scar.
    • The normal recoloring time is about 3''. The shorter the time, the more immature the scar.
    • If the scar recolors in less than a second (about a month after the procedure): The scar is not yet mature. Apply Avene Cicalfate+ Gel Cicatrice to the clean and dry scar by pressing gently. Use the index finger to gently apply the product along the scar.
    • If the scar recolors in 1 to 2'': proceed with a stroking massage with the thumb and forefinger along the scar. Gently pinch the skin between the fingers and pull it upwards. Do this until the product is completely absorbed (about 5').
    • If the scar recolors after 3'' (usually 3 months after the procedure): the scar is mature.
