With Lutein and Herbal Extracts
Multi-Guard Advance ( formerly Multi-Max Advance) is one of the most complete multivitamins, in the dosage of one tablet per day. This particular formula provides, at fairly high levels, all of the most important micronutrients. Among them it includes selenium and chromium, 2 very important minerals, which are often not present or are present in small amounts in other multivitamin formulas.
It also provides adequate levels of vitamins K and D for bone health. In particular, vitamin D is provided at the recommended levels for people who are exposed for a short period of time to solar radiation.
Finally it provides high levels of folic acid and vitamin B12, something very important for the health of the cardiovascular system (control of blood homocysteine levels).
But what differentiates the formula Multi Guard Advance from similar preparations on the market is its content of powerful antioxidants. Specifically, it contains green tea, one of the most widely known antioxidants (at levels equivalent to a cup of fresh green tea) and lutein which is known to contribute to eye health. As for lutein, it is contained at 2mg per tablet, a significant level much higher than the levels of lutein contained in other multivitamin formulas for people over 50 on the market.
Finally, Multi-Guard Advance, provides highly active curcumin extract (Turmeric) at levels corresponding to one teaspoon of the spice. This dosage of curcumin is the same as that which has been used in many scientific publications, regarding the beneficial role that curcumin plays in maintaining the health of people following an Eastern Diet.
