Headache is a painful disorder of the head (sometimes associated with pain in the face and/or neck).

This is the most common form of pain. In Greece, it affects approximately 1.5 million people in an episodic form.

Primary headaches have 3 main forms:

  • Migraine
  • Tension headache
  • Cumming headache

Migraine occurs in 18% of women and 6% of men, with recurrent episodes, of moderate or severe intensity, associated with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, photophobia, phonophobia.

In recent years, many studies have been done on the origin of migraine, but its etiology has not yet been established.

COENZYME Q10 - Coenzyme Q10 (20 mg)

The Coenzyme Q10, also called ubiquinone (or vitamin Q) is a very common molecule in biological systems and plays an important role in electron transport in mitochondria. In recent years, Coenzyme Q10 has been the subject of many clinical trials that confirmed its antioxidant properties and effectiveness in the prevention of headaches.

RIBOFLAVIN - Riboflavin (4.8 mg)

Riboflavin is the most important cofactor involved in the oxidative mitochondrial chain. Several double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trials have confirmed the clinical benefits in reducing the frequency of migraine episodes and the degree of severity.

Magnesium actively participates in the control of of NMDA receptors, resulting in the inhibition of calcium entry into the cell. It is a regulator of neuronal excitability mediated by the NMDA receptor.

Several experiments have pointed out that magnesium levels are lower in migraine patients.

The role of magnesium in the prevention and reduction of migraine pain has been documented in numerous clinical studies

The muscle relaxant effect of magnesium helps to reduce conditions that are related to stress. PARTHENIUM (Tanacetum parthenium)  - Parthenium (dry extracts 150 mg) Parthenium (Tanacetum parthenium), a member of the Compositae family, is a perennial herbaceous plant commonly known as Chrysanthemum. Parthenolides, the active substance of the leaf extract, inhibits algesia and neurogenic vasodilation in the trigeminal vascular system.

Parthenolides, active components of parthenium extract, are potent inhibitors of NOS expression and subsequent nitric oxide synthesis.

Parthenolides have shown in experiments, both in vitro and in vivo, that specifically inhibit NF-kB activation, pro-inflammatory cytokine synthesis (IL-1 beta, IL-6 and TNFalpha) and CNS microglia activation.

In vitro and animal experiments have also documented significant effects on platelet serotonin (5-HT) release, and phospholipase A inhibition. ANDROGRAPHIS PANICULATA - Andrographolide (dry extracts 100 mg)Andrographis paniculata is a plant belonging to the Acantheceae family, from which a dry extract naturally enriched with polyphenols and flavonoids is extracted. It has shown, both in vitro and in vivo, a strong anti-nococcal and anti-inflammatory activity comparable to NSAIDs and opioids.

Andrographolide (Andrographis Paniculata), exhibits anti-pain and anti-edematous activity in animals.

Andrographolide (Andrographis Paniculata), is a potent inhibitor of NF-kB and pro-inflammatory synthesis cytokines.
