Tributin is available in the form of gastro-resistant coated tablets of controlled release.

  • The pharmaceutical technology that has been used for the controlled release form has been studied so as to lead the three active ingredients (butyric acid, fructo-oligosaccharides and bifidobacteria) directly to the large intestine , where they can act effectively, contributing to the maintenance of the good condition of the epithelial cells of the large intestine, strengthening the cell cycle of the intestinal epithelium and promoting the normalization of bowel movements with a subsequent reduction of painful symptoms caused by the large intestine.

Properties:

  • Food for special medical purposes, for the dietary treatment of people suffering from irritable bowel.
  • Composition with butyric acid, fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) and lactic enzymes (bifidobacteria), it is protected by an Italian (No 0001395328) and European (No 2289505) patent.
  • Does not contain gluten.
  • In coated gastro-resistant tablets of controlled release.

Ingredients and properties:

  • Butyric acid: Butyric acid is a short-chain fatty acid found in nature as a minor component in the fat fraction of milk and its factors.
  • In humans it is a substance formed naturally in the large intestine as a consequence of the fermentation of dietary fiber.< /li>
  • It is the main source of energy of the epithelial cells of the colon.
  • It stimulates their replacement and normal maturation and plays an important "key" role in maintaining the integrity of the mucosa and in the healing process of intestinal lesions.
  • Activates the reabsorption of water and sodium in the large intestine.
  • Contributes to the reduction of intestinal pH, thus creating an inhospitable environment for the growth of pathogenic bacteria.

  • Clinical experience has shown that in patients with disorders of the balance of cells in the large intestine, and specifically in the ileocolic part, the intake of butyric acid leads to a noticeable improvement in symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain and general malaise.
  • Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS): Fruco-oligosaccharides are complex carbohydrates, i.e. natural sugars in the form of polymers found in small amounts in various plants.
  • Together with other starches -type oligosaccharides such as inulin, fructo-oligosaccharides are almost indigestible.
  • They are widely used for their "prebiotic" effect, which means that they are the nutrients of various bacterial populations that make up the intestinal flora.< /li>
  • Fruco-oligosaccharides enhance the ability of lactic enzymes (probiotics) to promote normal intestinal function, particularly when combined with highly beneficial bacteria such as bifidobacteria.
  • Fruco-oligosaccharides also help in the prevention of intestinal disorders such as constipation, colitis or diarrhea and contribute to the improvement of digestion and absorption.
  • Lactic enzymes (bifidobacteria): They are the most beneficial bacteria found in the large intestine of adults and children.< /li>
  • These bacteria decrease with age and when the state of health begins to decline.
  • The population of Bifidobacterium Bifidus bacteria that colonizes the human gut can be destroyed by many factors that are related to lifestyle, sanitary and environmental conditions.

Benefits of bifidobacteria:

  • The prevention of intestinal colonization by hostile pathogenic bacteria and fungi, with which bifidobacteria compete for nutrients.
